ISO 22000:2005 certification not only attests to our commitment to continual improvement, but also to provide our sales force and distributors with more opportunities to conduct business in the global marketplace.
The requirements stipulated by ISO 22000:2005 are important to Grenada Distiller’s Limited as they provide an internationally recognized framework for ensuring food safety throughout the entire system. This includes choice of suppliers, ingredients, processes, facilities and human resources. The entire GDL team works under the guidelines of the standard to provide our customers with high quality products that are safe to consume, the Quality Control Manager of the company, Malika C Crichton said.
ISO certification is voluntary and compliance must be verified through an independent agency on a regular basis. A yearly audit will be conducted to maintain Grenada’s Distillers certification status, and a more extensive audit will be completed once every three years for certification renewal. Grenada Distillers is currently working towards certification to the revised ISO 22000:2018 standard.
