Accountant of Grenada
Distillers Limited La Toya
Augustine hands over cheque
to October winner William
Mitchell |
Tuesday
November 23rd, 2011 - St. George’s
Grenada:
Grand Anse
shop-keeper, William Mitchell,
was at home when a friend called to say
that he had been named on radio as the
October winner in the Clarke’s
Court pre-Christmas Promotion.
He did not
get too excited but shortly afterwards
he received a call from the General
Manager of Grenada Distillers Limited,
Ruel Edwards, who confirmed that he had
indeed won the $500.00 promotion.
Mitchell
had purchased a quantity of Clarke’s
Court Pure White and Special Dark Rums
at The Food Fair in Grand Anse for a
Happy Hour that he was organising.
Although he filled the vouchers, he had
no real thoughts of winning.
Collecting
his cheque for $500.00 from Accountant
La Toya Augustine, who smilingly
congratulated William Mitchell on his
good luck, in the presence of the media
on Thursday November 17, Mitchell
thanked Grenada Distillers Limited for
giving back to the public.
He
immediately made another purchase of
Clarke’s
Court Pure White and Special Dark Rums
at Nick’s
Barrel House, Woodlands.
“I
have been drinking Clarke’s
Court Rum since 1981,”
said William Mitchell, agreeing that it
is surely the best spirit on the island.
In making additional purchases, he is
once more eligible to participate in the
promotion which ends on November 30.
Walking out
with his cases of Clarke’s
Court Rum, William said he has no
immediate plans for the balance of his
winnings.
Just before
the handover, General Manager Ruel
Edwards briefed the media on the pre
Christmas Promotion, saying that
shoppers have up to the end of November
to make purchases of at least two 750ml
bottles of any Clarke’s Court products
to be eligible. Specially branded boxes
are at major outlets nationwide and
cashiers have vouchers at hand to be
filled by such persons.
Carriacou
is carded to be the venue of the final
draw. |
