Court award-winning products
and medals gained at
World-Spirits Award ceremony

Tuesday October 19th, 2010 - St. George’s
Grenada: Bottlers, blenders and
distributors of world renowned Clarke’s
Court Rums, Grenada Distillers Limited,
has done it again, bringing home
World-Class honours from the World
Spirits Awards 2010.
For its
various rums, Grenada Distillers Limited
was awarded as a World-Class Distillery
gaining three Gold and three Silver
medals.
Awarded
Gold by WSA this year were Clarke’s
Court Superior Light Rum, which has
already won several awards, in the White
Rum Category; Clarke’s Courts Old Grog,
a rum which has made its blenders proud
with its previous gold awards, in the
Matured Rum Division; Clarke’s Court
Spicy Rum, which has also brought home
gold before, in the Rum Mix Category.
Winning
Silver at the 2010 World Spirits Awards
were Clarke’s Court Rum Sorrel, Rum
Lemon and Camerhogne Liqueur, all
categorised as Rum Mixes.
Sixty five
participants from twenty six nations
participated in World Spirits Award 2010
under the theme, “Simply the best in
Spirits” Festival with products ranging
from cognac and whiskey to gin and rum.
An
international panel of tasters, with
numerous years’ experience, ensured
objective assessment. Distilleries were
ranked on the basis of their products
(World-Class, Master-Class, First-Class
and Recommended Distillery). The medals
honour the work of the distillers and
are a distinction for flawless products.
WSA has
said that it is neither the name nor the
reputation of the Distillers and
Products, but the sensory abilities of
the panel of ‘tasting’ jurors and the
responsibilities to producers that
ensure that a respected and
comprehensible judgement for their
various products is handed down.
The
World-Class Distillery with which
Grenada Distillers Limited has been
honoured is not only a means by which to
assess its position on an international

member of the family, Limited Edition
#37 Blend, the only eight year aged rum
